Capital Pride would like to invite you to be an important part of the special 2010 Pride celebration.
For the first time, we are organizing a silent auction as part of the ten day long celebration from June 4 – 13, 2010. This fundraiser will take place at our 35th Anniversary Gala commemorating Capital Pride's 35th Birthday, 1975-2010 - "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet!" The Party will include a reception, silent auction, and Art for Pride donation show. We are looking for a variety of works of art, experiences, services and goods to make our first silent auction a successful one!
This event will take place at the fabulous Donovan House in Thomas Circle on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010. Amid a backdrop of lively Jazz music and beautiful design, guests will join us in perusing numerous packages and works of art available to the highest bidder. After a short speaking program welcoming the crowd, we'll move up to the roof deck for a casual night of lounging and dancing under the stars to the music of "DC's Best DJ," Keenan Orr! There will be a cash bar and light appetizers.
Please join us in making this exciting, new addition to our line-up a promising event for years to come! Your gift will not only make a critical impact in the lives of clients but you will also receive a wide range of recognition among our many supporters. Your donation will garner:To easily register and donate, click here: Capital Pride Auction Donation Form

Have you seen this painting? Looking for its current owner to find out if it can be borrowed for a huge retrospective show featuring the best artists from the last many years of DC's storied art history.
It's called "Last Washington Painting" by Alan Sonneman. A collector named Marc Moyens originally owned it but later sold it, and there is no record of who bought it from him.
Email me HERE if you have any clues as to its whereabouts. Thanks!
