Project Arbor Day brings the constant unknown of nature into a creative power on canvas, visualizing the mystery and harmony that exists between man and nature. Ten local artists have united to do cherry blossom artwork to raise funds to restore and revitalize the damaged trees on the National Mall. Come express your support for the voting rights in DC by painting your own voting hand on large mural. The mural is located in the parking lot of Rhode Island Ave Shopping Center (615 Rhode Island Ave, NE, Washington DC) in walking distance from Rhode Island Metro on red line. It's called "Last Washington Painting" by Alan Sonneman. A collector named Marc Moyens originally owned it but later sold it, and there is no record of who bought it from him.

Author Colin Beavan, in research for his next book, began the No Impact Project. No more automated transportation, no more electricity, no more non-local food, no more material consumption…no problem. That is, until his espresso-guzzling, retail-worshipping wife Michelle and their two year-old daughter are dragged into the fray. The Telluride Wine Festival, Center for Wine Origins and SCHILLING studio Gallery are pleased to announce the “Where in the World Does Your Wine come from?” Nationwide Poster Challenge and Art Exhibition. The challenge seeks to discover artists and designers who create an educated and aesthetically pleasing poster design reflecting the promotion and protection of wine regions.
While excellent wine is produced around the world, it is important to know where your wine comes from. This particular competition encourages artists to promote the recognition of Champagne or Port wines, or an official wine region from across the globe. Artists, photographers and graphic designers are encouraged to submit their poster design. The challenge is the first nationwide, juried poster competition celebrating the grape and regions of origin for the world’s most diverse wines. The final selections for cash awards will be chosen based on artistic excellence in reflection of this theme.
The Art Exhibition will take place in Telluride, Colorado during the Telluride Wine Festival June 24 to 27th, 2010.
